The leaves have been yellowing and drying up. What is happening and what can I do?
It was closer to a south facing window, but I thought maybe it got too much light so now it’s a few meters in from the window. I don’t water more than once a week, and it has a nursery pot and came in this soil mix. I’ve had it for almost a year and it was just short cuttings so it has grown a bit, although I suppose it’s leggy. A few months ago I took cuttings of it myself (they’re sitting rooted in water as I haven’t had time to plant them) and at that point the leaves were doing fine.

It’s time to repot it into a good quality potting soil if you haven’t done that since you got it
If it’s leggy that means it hadn’t been getting enough light. Then you moved it away from light.

I have like 10 pothos plants (that all came from one). Even though I don’t know much about plants, as others here, I have a universal type of soil, which works great!
Overall I have them next to windows. So I would say repot and move to more light and see how it goes. Don’t over water it.
yeah,, i dont even grow these guys in soil anymore, why waste it on on them.
they love growing in water and they dont dry out. the only time i see a yellow leaf on mine is when i need to refill the containers.
Oh boy, a serious lack of light. You can tell because of the great distance between the leaves. The yellowing is most likely because the soil is staying moist for too long, which is related to light. More light means the plant can process more water.
You will know if the plant is getting too much light because it will have beige patches on the leaves from sunburn. Most plants will do fine in a bright window.
You’re probably better off to take your cuttings that are in water and create a new plant. Make sure the pot is only about an inch larger all around then the root mass. If the pot is too large the roots will be smothered from the soil staying wet for too long.
